Amelio Solar modules are produced with high quality glass to glass encapsulation methods that provide long term strength and durability. Special aluminum "I" channel mounting rails are located on the back for easy installation and maximum wind resistance. Hermetically sealed leads are attached to the modules for highest reliability and access. The modules do not require a frame for strength or stability.
Amelio Solar's a-Si modules have a dark uniform appearance which offer an aesthetically pleasing enhancement to a building’s appearance for rooftop and BIPV applications. The modules have a 4% light transparency with traditional laser patterning. This transparency can be dramatically increased by removing some of the a-Si material from the modules.Transparency patterns can be adjusted but dot and checkered patterns are often used. Combined with silk screening, some very interesting and architecturally pleasing effects can be achieved. Colored glass can also be incorporated into the design.
