To provide the lowest cost PV electricity, Amelio Solar offers Manufacturing Integrated Photovoltaic Power Projects (MIPPP), where the user purchases renewable energy, and the MIPPP project arranges for financing, module manufacturing, and installation of the power system as project manager.
The primary requirement for a MIPPP is a long-term (20 years) power purchase contract from a financially credible power purchaser.
The smallest modular MIPPP utilizes a 5 MW manufacturing facility with a minimum power purchase contract requiring a 25 MW PV installation. This guarantees that the output of the initial modular manufacturing unit is utilized for a five year period. Thus, the 25 MW power station is constructed over a five year period in 5MW annual increments.
